FULL TIME: Too little too late for Palace and for all their possession and good passing they paid today for one stupid mistake by Claude Davis and the fact their only shot on target was Danns' goal. Ambrose was missed terribly. Next up, Portsmouth in the cup on Tuesday.
93 min: GOAL. Danns pulls one back as he gets to Clyne's cross before Fulop. Hope is kindled.
90 min: SUB: Hyam off, O'Connor on.
90 min: FIVE minutes added on but as Palace haven't yet had a shot on target I wouldn't be expecting much.
88 min: SUB: Stead off , Priskin on. Not looking good folks.
84 min: SUB: Last throw of the dice for Burley as Marrow replaces Lee.
80 min: Good play from Zaha results in a Danns shot being deflected for a corner. That comes out to Bennett but he blazes over.
75 min: SUB: Dorman off and it's a debut for Obika.
73 min: RED CARD. Townsend is sent off for Ipswich as he clatters into Speroni with a high leg but it wasn't that high and that is very generous indeed. Palace have a fighting chance now though.
71 min: Dorman with space 15 yards out but he shoots a good couple of foot over.
68 min: YELLOW CARDS. Another melee breaks out as Lee and Hyam tangle. Lee appears to knee Hyam and Hyman appears to punch Lee. Hyam is booked and so is Garvan for his reaction after I think.
65 min: A quick corner almost catches Palace out but McAuley heads wide.
63 min: Barrett's looked a little shaky since coming on and Palace are at least trying to get back in the game but without much success.
56 min: Game over I fear. Leadbitter crosses the left and Edwards gets behind Bennett to poke home at the back post. Almost a replica of the one he missed in the first half except this one went in.
55 min: GOAL. Ipswich.
54 min: YELLOW CARD. Tempers flaring and Norris goes in the book for a tug on Danns. Garvan squares up to someone again.
51 min: SUB: Cadogan is sacrificed for Barrett. Let's face it, that's not the first mistake Davis has made. He may have complained but that was absolutely blatant.
49 min: RED CARD AND GOAL. Oh no. Davis stupidly tugs Stead's shirt when he goes through on goal and the ref has no option but to give a penalty and send the Jamaican off. Leadbitter steps up and scores into the bottom corner. 49 min: PENALTY TO IPSWICH.
46 min: Ipswich get us going again, no changes.
HALF-TIME: "Hey Graham, is Lizzie Greenwood-Hughes a Palace fan or are you just joking?" Ian Wright. Well I heard it from someone so they could have been lying but I have seen her here quite a lot.
HALF-TIME: Out he comes at the same time as Counago is applauds the crowd. Not surprisinly he gets a very warm reception.
HALF-TIME: It's been good football from Palace but just so frustrating there hasn't been any major chance. Garvan in the first minute and Dorman's offside goal are the best Palace have mustered. It's Edgar the Eagle time.
45 min: McCarthy sets up Cadogan and the edge of the box but he blazes over. ONE minute added on.
44 min: Good move from Palace but again it breaks down with the final ball. Moments later Zaha takes on the whole Ipswich defence but can't find a Palace player with his cross.
40 min: One of Ipswich's many long throws - I hate that tactic - almost causes a bit of a problem but Palace clear. Lee gets some treatment on a head wound but seems ok to continue.
37 min: A bit of a lull right now. Zaha and Cadogan are both getting a little bit frustrated at not having free kicks given to them.
31 min: Super stop from Speroni as Stead's cross takes a wicked deflection of Davis and threatens to loop over the keeper but he back peddles enough to tip it on to the cross bar.
27 min: I'm loving this new passing Palace side and so are the crowd. There may not have been too many chances but it's so refreshing to see.
24 min: I'm guessing Leadbitter and Garvan weren't best of friends at Ipswich as they square up to each other. Ref just gives them a talking to.
23 min: Dorman thinks he's scored but it's offside. Great move from Palace after Bennett got away with a slightly clumsy tackle in his own box. Cadogan broke and played in Lee who passed to Dorman but he had just strayed beyond the last man.
20 min: YELLOW CARD: McCarthy mistimes his tackle onm Townsend and goes in the book. Rightly so although he does protest. Bennett clears Leadbitter's free-kick for a corner, which Garvan clears at the near post.
18 min: Lee wins a foul of McAuley wide on the left, Garvan delivers and Stead clears as far as Clyne who gives it to Zaha and he skips between two and into the box before crossing behind McCarthy and right across the six-yard box. Great play.
13 min: Stead in again for Ipswich and crosses this time for Norris in the six-yard box who seems to have all the time in the world for a second before Davis comes sliding in with a good challenge. Not one foul given by the ref so far by the way.
10 min: Ipswich should be ahead. Stead escapes the offside trap and crosses for Edwards at the back post but he puts the ball over from two yards. Lucky escape for Palace.
7 min: Stead tries his luck from distance and for a second it looks like it might trouble Speroni but he claims comfortably. Palace's passing has been superb so far and they've started well. Ipswich have corner though.
3 min: Davis' first mistake of the afternoon as his miskick almost lets in Stead but Speroni clears just in time. Palace spend a minute after that passing the ball through Ipswich but Zaha's cross is just overhit.
1 min: 17 seconds in and Garvan lets fly with a volley from 20 yards that goes just wide.
1 min: Off we go and it looks like Dorman will play n the left with Danns partnering Garvan in the middle. Palace going towards the Holmesdale end this first half.
2.58pm: Big cheers for Burley as he follows the players out of the tunnel.
2.57pm: Not as full in Selhurst as I thought it might be today. Just waiting for the teams.
2.48pm: Lizzie Greenwood-Hughes, the woman off the Football League Show, is here covering the match for Final Score. She's a Palace fan did you know?
2.43pm IPSWICH: Martin Fulop, Jamie Peters, Gareth McAuley, Darren O'Dea, Tommy Smith, Grant Leadbitter, David Norris, Adros Townsend, Luke Hyam, Carlos Edwards, Jon Stead. Subs not used: Murphy, O'Connor, Priskin, Brown, Eastman, Healy, Hourihane.
2.35pm: PALACE: Julian Speroni, Nathaniel Clyne, Claude Davis, Paddy McCarthy, Julian Bennett, Kieron Cadogan, Owen Garvan, Neil Danns, Andy Dorman, Alan Lee, Wilfried Zaha. Subs: Barrett, Andrew, Price, Djilali, O'Keefe, Obika, Marrow.
2.25pm: The teams are out and there is indeed no Ambrose or Wright. They are replaced by Bennett and Danns in the only changes, meaning Cadogan and Zaha keep their places and Obika, Marrow and O'Keefe are on the bench.
2.20pm: The players have appeared for their warm-up but I don't see Darren Ambrose at all, maybe he's injured. Obika, Marrow and O'Keefe are out there though.
2.18pm: Just reading through the programme and it seems Sean Scannell's injury is not as bad as feared and he should be back by November which is good.
2.15pm Davids is to be paraded to the crowd at half time I am told so that's something to look forward to.
2.03pm: Bit of team news for you. David Wright has just hobbled past us so I am guessing he is not going to be involved, while I am hearing rumours Darren Ambrose is not starting. Seems weird.
2pm: Hello and welcome to this afternoon's game against Ipswich at Selhurst Park. I arrived quarter of an hour ago and have already seen three fans wearing Edgar Davids shirts with the number 20! What a coup for George Burley that is. He's not involved today of course but there is still an air of excitement around the place.
